Thrissur: Vadanappally in the Manalur constituency witnessed tensions as allegations surfaced over the preparation of food kits for voters at a private warehouse. UDF activists accused the BJP of coordinating the distribution of kits through a local supermarket to influence voters ahead of the upcoming elections. LDF supporters later arrived at the scene, escalating the situation.

The UDF team, led by candidate TN Prathapan, reportedly confronted BJP workers, leading to clashes. Multiple reports claim that TN Prathapan was physically pushed during the scuffle.

The protest took place in front of a private warehouse belonging to Champions Traders, adjacent to a private residence in Thalikulam. The main allegation is that kits were being distributed under the guise of 'Maranananthara Sahaya Samithi' (posthumous assistance group). Meanwhile, the BJP claimed that their team, led by actor and party leader Devan, was inside the residence and had been prevented from leaving.
