Man kills mother by setting her on fire in TVM

Thiruvananthapuram: In a horrifying incident at Aanapara in Vellarada, a man tied up his mother and set her on fire, resulting in her death. The deceased is Nalini (62), and her son, Moses Bipin (36), has been taken into custody by the Vellarada Police.

Nalini and Moses were residing together in the house. Nalini’s husband Ponnumani had passed away ten years ago. Jain Jacob, Nalini’s youngest son, found his mother’s charred body when he arrived at the house with food. Her legs were found tied.

Upon learning about the incident, Moses was confronted by the villagers, and he threatened them with a knife. The police apprehended him using force. According to the police, he was under the influence of alcohol during the incident.
