Man gets 73 years of rigorous imprisonment for drugging and raping boy

Kodumon (Pathanamthitta):  In a case of drugging and raping a minor boy, the accused was sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for 73 years and fined with Rs 3.6 lakh. Wilson (30) of Murupel House, Paranthal, was found guilty by the Adoor Fast Track Special Court for POCSO cases. 

Passing the judgment, Judge Dhoni Thomas Varghese added that the fine should be paid to the victim's family. If not paid, he shall bear an additional imprisonment of 3 years and 9 months. The accused used to take the victim from the playground to a nearby toilet of an abandoned house. He used to first intoxicate the minor by giving him weed and drugs, and then rape the child in that state. 

The victim disclosed to the excise preventive officer, who came there to inquire about drug usage, that he was a class 4 student when it began and had been subjected to this torture for the past 3 years. The excise officer informed the Kodumon Police about the heinous crime. The case was investigated by a team, led by SHO V S Praveen.
