Man, daughter drown in river while fishing in Ernakulam

Paravur: A man and daughter died on Saturday night after they drowned in a river while fishing at Paravur in Ernakulam. Ezhikkara native Babu, who is a fisherman, and his daughter Nimya died in the accident. 

At around 10 pm, local residents heard Nimya’s cry from the river. They took both Babu and Nimya to the hospital before police and fire force reached the spot. But their lives could not be saved. 

Nimya is a Class 11 student at the Kadamakudy Government Vocational Higher Secondary School.
