Kozhikode: New developments have surfaced in the case of real estate trader Mami, also known as Attoor Mohammed's disappearance. Mami, known for traveling frequently for business, was reported missing by his family within hours of his disappearance. However, Mami’s driver, Rajith Kumar, has raised serious concerns about the circumstances surrounding the complaint and the investigation.

Rajith, a native of Elathur, along with his wife Thushara, was interrogated by the crime branch in connection with Mami's disappearance. After the questioning, Thushara’s brother filed a missing persons complaint, which led to further investigation. Rajith and Thushara were later located in Guruvayur and brought back to Kozhikode on Friday night, where they were presented before the magistrate.

Speaking to the media, Rajith leveled allegations against Mami’s family and the police. He claimed that the police had been aggressively pursuing him and his family, isolating them from their friends and even questioning his children. According to Rajith, his wife was interrogated between 10 AM and 5 PM, and the police had also taken her phone. He alleged that police officers had jumped over his gate at 4 AM to knock on his door. Rajith further stated that he had last seen Mami heading to a church.

Rajith and Thushara had left their home on Tuesday, and after the crime branch summoned them, they stayed in a lodge near the Kozhikode bus stand. On Thursday, the hotel room was vacated, and no information about the couple’s whereabouts surfaced until Friday morning, when the police issued a lookout circular with their photographs. The notice was circulated by Guruvayur Assistant Commissioner KM Biju in a WhatsApp group for hoteliers, leading to the couple’s identification.

In the midst of the investigation, Rajith sent four voice messages in a WhatsApp group on Friday evening. One of the messages suggested that if his family were destroyed, many people would find peace. In other messages, Rajith mentioned that he had gone to Guruvayur for peace of mind and hinted that some people might be happy if he ended his life.

As the investigation continues, the mystery surrounding Mami's disappearance deepens, with new developments unfolding daily.
