Malappuram fake job scam: Kozhikode based lawyer taken into custody

Thiruvananthapuram: The first arrest has been registered in the fake job scam in connection with the Health Minister’s office. Kozhikode-based lawyer Rayees has been taken into custody. He is accused of creating a fake Email ID in the name of Ayush Mission. The arrest was registered following hours of interrogation.

Rayees is known to be a close aide of Akhil Sajeev and Lenin Rajeev, the other accused in the case. Earlier, the police had found that the complainant Haridasan’s daughter-in-law had received her posting order from a fake Email ID. Rayees is suspected to have created this fake id.  

Rayees and Haridasan’s friend Basith were questioned by the Cantonment police from Tuesday morning. However, Basith was not arrested. Meanwhile, the complainant Haridasan did not appear for interrogation. He is suspected to be absconding. His phone is switched off as well.
