Madhu lynching case: Govt dismisses fourth forest watcher from service for turning hostile

Mannarkkad: Sunil Kumar, the witness in the Attapadi Madhu lynching case who turned hostile during the trial, has been dismissed from the service. He was a temporary watcher in the Silent Valley division of the forest department.

With this, the number of temporary watchers dismissed for turning hostile in the case has turned four.

Meanwhile, the Mannarkkad SC-ST court ordered checking of eye sight of Sunil Kumar. When court showed him the video of the attack on Madhu, Sunil said he “cannot see” in the video if he was present. Court then ordered to check the eye sight.

Sunil had earlier told the police that the accused shouted ‘thief’ while dragging Madhu into the spot where the video was shot.
