LIFE Mission case: ED moves Kerala HC to cancel Santhosh Eapen’s bail

Kochi: The Enforcement Directorate has approached the Kerala high court for the cancellation of bail granted to Santhosh Eapen in connection with the LIFE Mission bribery case. 

Earlier, the trial court granted bail to Eapen, who is the prime accused in the case. The trial court granted bail after Eapen assured that he will fully cooperate with the ongoing investigation.

Meanwhile, M Sivasankar, former private secretary of Kerala Chief Minister, who is another accused in the case, has not been granted bail so far. It should be noted that the high court had also questioned the delay in the arrest of Swapna Suresh in the case while dismissing Sivasankar’s bail plea
