Leopard rescued after falling into well in Kerala’s Koodaranji; to be released into forest | WATCH
Kozhikode: A leopard that fell into a well in Koodaranji here was rescued after hours of effort. Early Sunday morning around 1 am, the leopard got trapped in a cage set up inside the well. The Forest Department confirmed that the rescued leopard is healthy.
The leopard was transferred to the Thamarassery Range Forest Office. After further examination, it will be released into the forest. The cage had been placed inside the well on Saturday in an attempt to capture the leopard.
The leopard had fallen into a about 15-metre deep, unlined open well in the agricultural land of Perumpoli Kurian in Koodaranji on Tuesday.
