Dance video of 64-year-old woman goes viral on Facebook

Kochi: Sixty-four-year-old Leelamma, who has become a sensation on social media by dancing splendidly to the song 'Oru Madhurakkinavin Lahariyiletho', is being praised by people all over. Her dance video, which was shared on Facebook, was reshared by many celebrities. They also called up to congratulate her. 

The video was captured by her son, Avvai Santhosh, two days ago from a relative’s wedding at Pattambi. He had requested her to dance on the stage. Later, he uploaded the video in Facebook. 

The video has crossed over 58 lakh views on Facebook and has gone viral on other social media as well. 

“With the grace of God, if I could, I would dance even after 90 years of age," said Leelamma. She used to dance to songs playing on TV while working in the kitchen. It was her dream to perform on stage. Leelamma is extremely happy to see her dream come true. 

She is the wife of the late theatre artist, John K Pallikara. Mini Joy and Simi Sudhir are her daughters. 

This dashing dance video of Leelamma proves that age is just a number.
