LDF expects victory in Wandoor by fielding young candidate Midhuna

Wandoor (Malappuram): LDF has fielded young candidate P Midhuna in Wandoor constituency for the assembly election to see if the UDF stronghold can be conquered.
The party is expecting nothing less than victory which is why they fielded a woman who quit Muslim League. A P Anilkumar, who became MLA and minister several times, is the UDF candidate in Wandoor this time also.
After Wandoor constituency was formed in 1977, LDF won the seat only once. Then Congress leader Panthalam Sudhakaran was defeated by N Kannan. UDF fielded AP Anilkumar in the seat next year and since then, they never tasted defeat. Even when there was a strong LDF wave across the state, Anilkumar could improve his majority.
This time, LDF fielded a young candidate as per the calculations that the people want a change. A woman candidate can make an impact among the female voters, the party assumes. Midhuna started campaign as soon as she was announced as candidate.
