I won’t approach Congress leadership for seat, declares KV Thomas

Kochi: Senior Congress leader and ex-MP KV Thomas opened up about his disappointment with his party. Talking to Mathrubhumi News, Thomas complained of facing negligence and humiliation from the party.
“The media reported that I have been pressurizing the party. Such news disturbed me a lot. Even my daughter’s name was dragged into such allegations. There are planned attempts to frame me as a leader obsessed with power. My own party members were involved in defaming me,” stated KV Thomas.
At the same time, he added that he has no plans to quit Congress.
“Some leaders joined hands to plot against me. I’m not interested to contest polls. I just want to lead a peaceful life. So, I won’t approach the Congress leadership requesting seat,” affirmed the senior politician.
He also expressed disgust over dragging his family into unnecessary controversies.
“I expected the leadership will behave with dignity. I felt embarrassed when the party neglected me without giving posts to me,” added Thomas.
