Edappal flyover construction; Kuttippuram road closed until Monday

Edappal: The Edappal-Kuttippuram road has been completely closed for flyover construction at Edappal junction.

The move comes to facilitate the lifting and positioning of large beams at the construction site. Vehicles will not be allowed through the construction area until Sunday night.

Vehicles plying to Kozhikode from Thrissur, including long-distance buses should turn at Naduvattom centre and enter the Ayilakkad road. They can continue through the Karinkallathani-Chamravattom-Mini Pamba route or enter the Old Block-Ayangalam-Kuttippuram road from Edappal town to reach their destination.

Small vehicles can take the Ayilakkad-Thalamunda route to enter Ponnani road and continue their journey through Old Block junction.

Vehicles heading in Palakkad direction from Thrissur can take the Naduvattom-Tippu Sultan road to enter Koonammoochi or Vattamkulam to continue their journey.

Vehicles heading towards Thrissur and Guruvayur directions should continue to turn left at Manoor or Kandanakam to take the Chekannur-Vattamkulam-Edappal route and continue their journey.
