Vava Suresh regains speech and memory; shifted from ICU

Gandhi Nagar (Kottayam): Vava Suresh, who is currently undergoing treatment at Kottayam Medical College hospital for a snake bite, has shown great improvement in his health condition. He regained speech and memory and was shifted from the ICU.
The hospital officials informed that intake of medicines, including antibiotics, will continue. They also informed that they will try to make him walk by afternoon. On Thursday afternoon, he was given liquid food. He talked to the doctors and murmured his name when they asked him. The moment he regained consciousness, he uttered the word ‘God!’. The medical team is relieved that the blood flow to his brain has become normal.
However, Vava Suresh’s health condition will be strictly monitored. Suresh was admitted to the Medical College Hospital on Monday after being bitten by a cobra.
The medical team is led by Dr TK Jayakumar, including Deputy superintendent Dr Ratheesh Kumar, Head of Department of Neuro-medicine Dr Jacob George, Head of the Department of Neurosurgery, Dr P K Balakrishnan, Head of the Department of General Medicine Dr Sanghamithra and Critical Care Department Dr Anuraj.
