KSRTC revamp: In a first, Kerala govt appoints KAS officers in a public sector organisation

Thiruvananthapuram: KSRTC will be divided into four independent zones. This includes the Swift as well. The government has issued an order placing four KAS officers on top of each of these sectors. The newly appointed officers include SS Sarin (Malappuram Dy Collector, Disaster Management), Joshua Bennett John (Dy Director, Kozhikode Audit Office), R Rararaj (Dy Commissioner (intel), Department of Goods and Services Tax), and Roshna Alikunju (Financial Assistant at Kannur Irrigation Project). They have all been appointed as general managers. All four KAS officers are engineering graduates. This is the first time that KAS officers have been appointed in a public sector organisation.
The appointments are on the basis of Prof Sushil Khanna's report. After training, the KAS officers will assume charge as Zonal heads. R Rararaj, who is a native of Varkala is an electronic and communications engineer. Perinad native Joshua is the son of former KSRTC North Zonal ATO CA Johny. Roshna is a native of Panmana, Sarin is from Kattakada.
