Thiruvananthapuram: KSRTC staffers have raised allegations against authorities at Nedumangad depot over discrepancies in fuel supply. The staffers reportedly exposed that a fuel tanker that arrived at the depot had only 14,000 litre despite the bill showing 15,000 litre. Employees claim that authorities commit malpractices and project them as wrongdoers.

For months, staffers have complained about poor mileage. They also demanded scrutiny of the quality and quantity of fuel. However, authorities claimed that the acts of drivers and mechanics affected fuel efficiency. The authorities also conducted a workshop for mechanics and drivers to improve fuel efficiency.

The staffers the other day demanded to measure the quantity of diesel in the tanker that arrived from MS Fuels. It was reportedly found that there were only 14,000 litre of diesel despite the bill showing 15,000 litre.

Later, authorities, in an apparent damage control measure, brought 1,000 litres of diesel on another tanker.
