Thiruvananthapuram: In a move set to benefit devotees, the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will introduce special arrangements to provide fast-track darshan for pilgrims at temples, including Guruvayur, as part of its budget tourism packages.

Preliminary discussions have been held between KSRTC officials and Devaswom authorities, temple boards, including the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB), KSRTC said.

The initiative aims to attract more passengers to public transport services. KSRTC already offers several packages covering various temples. Officials hope that providing priority access at temples will draw more tourists.

KSRTC’s Budget Tourism Cell is also preparing to launch packages to other South Indian pilgrimage destinations such as Madurai, Rameswaram, and Palani, as well as popular hill stations and tourist spots, including Kodaikanal and Ooty.
