Kozhikode: As part of its budget tourism initiative, KSRTC is organising a special cruise trip for travellers. The journey is scheduled for Wednesday, December 24, departing from Kozhikode.

Travellers will first reach Kochi by KSRTC bus, after which they will board a cruise for a four-hour voyage. Following the cruise, the return trip to Kozhikode will take place by road, with the bus expected to reach by around 2.30 am.

An AC low-floor bus will depart from the Kozhikode KSRTC depot at 10 am. Arrangements have been made for passengers to board the cruise at Kochi. The trip is planned for a group of 36 people.

From the upper deck of the cruise ship, passengers can enjoy the mesmerising sunset views. The total cost of the trip, including bus fare and cruise charges, is ₹3,840 per person.

The cruise will begin at 5 pm, featuring a welcome drink, tea and a buffet dinner as part of the package. Lunch, however, must be arranged by passengers at their own expense.

During weekends such as Saturdays and Sundays, the package rate will be ₹4,140, due to the increased cruise charges on holidays.

KSRTC is using privately operated cruise ships Nefertiti and Neo Classic Imperial for this tourism package.

In addition to this, KSRTC currently operates nearly thirty tourism trips, including tours to Mysuru, Nelliampathy, Munnar, Wayanad, Vagamon and Silent Valley, according to K Rahul, Coordinator of the Budget Tourism Cell.
