KSRTC gears up to start auto service

Thiruvananthapuram: Minister for Road Transport, Antony Raju informed in the Assembly that 30 electric autos will be bought via Kerala Transport Development Finance Corporation (KTDFC) and distributed to start the feeder service of KSRTC in the city. The facility can be availed from bustling spots of the city to bus stands.
In the second phase of the project, 500 electric autos will be bought in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode cities. In the third phase, electric cars and autorickshaws will be bought for the benefit of the public and various other departments under the government.
Fifty electric buses will be bought for Thiruvananthapuram city. The minister said in a reply to E T Taison’s submission that Rs 47.5 crores has been allotted via KIIFB for this.
