KS Sabarinadhan slams CM; terms Kerala as 'banana republic'

Thiruvananthapuram: Former MLA and Youth Congress vice-president KS Sabarinadhan has raised sharp criticism against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the LDF government after obtaining bail in the in-flight protest case. He criticised that Kerala has turned itself into a 'Banana republic' like many African countries. His remark came minutes after he was released on bail in the conspiracy case registered for being the master brain behind the protest against Chief Minister inside a flight.
"A case was filed against me and Youth Congress workers on charges of attempt to murder and conspiracy. The court order granting bail is a setback for a Chief Minister, who acts as a coward and fears a protest held in a democratic country," he said.
He also dismissed the argument from the Chief Minister that protesters were trying to murder him inside the plane.
He pointed out that Youth Congress will continue the protest from the grass root level and legally face cases.
"I was arrested ten minutes after I appeared as a witness in the case. They even falsified the time of my arrest," he claimed.
