Support for Chandy Oommen: KPCC member JS Akhil removed from Congress’ whatsapp group

Thiruvananthapuram: Advocate J.S. Akhil, a KPCC member who participated in channel discussions in support of MLA Chandy Oommen, has been removed from the Congress media wing's WhatsApp group. Advocate Deepti Mary Varghese, who is in charge of the media section, removed Akhil from the KPCC spokespersons' group as well. Akhil has also been removed from the position of Congress media spokesperson.

The action against Akhil is reportedly due to his participation in a channel discussion supporting Chandy Oommen. It is explained that Akhil participated in the discussion without the permission of the KPCC media wing. The media wing had decided to stay away from discussions related to Chandy Oommen's statement. Reports suggest that Akhil  will be asked for an explanation.

Last week, Dr. Shama Mohamed was also removed from the media department's WhatsApp group.
