Kozhikode to get its own floating restaurant soon

Kozhikode: A floating restaurant is all set to be constructed here in Kadalundi. The restaurant will be built near Kottakadavu Bridge in Kadalundi in the Beypore constituency.
Minister P A Mohammed Riyas said that the project has received the administrative approval of Rs 3.94 crore. The restaurant will have a seating capacity of 82 people. The approval was given after thoroughly reviewing the plan of the project, which underwent a technical inspection to ensure safety and security by a team from IIT Madras.
The construction of the restaurant will begin in June and is expected to be completed within nine months. Kerala Shipping & Inland Navigation Corporation Ltd (KSINC) is in charge of the construction.
The minister said that the floating restaurant will help Kozhikode crusade towards high tides of tourism development. The floating bridge constructed near the ‘Pulimutt’ (stone pier) in Beypore had gained much appreciation.
