12-year-old suffers 70 pc burns after touching power line, dies

Kozhikode: The child who was undergoing treatment after receiving an electric shock from KSEB‘s 66 KV tower line has passed away. He suffered the shock as he came in contact with a power line while playing.

The deceased is identified as Malik Ramzan (12), the son of Mubas and Rosina, who live in Kuttikattur.

The boy was undergoing treatment at the emergency department of Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. He sustained severe burns covering 70 per cent of his body from the shock.
