Several injured in Kozhikode-Bengaluru bus accident

Bengaluru: A sleeper bus of Karnataka RTC travelling from Kozhikode to Bengaluru on Wednesday night was involved in an accident.

The accident occurred at Bidadi in Ramanagara on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway early Thursday morning. The collision completely shattered the front windscreen, and several people sustained injuries.

It is learnt that the conditions of the conductor and driver are critical. The injured were immediately admitted to a hospital in Bidadi.

Passengers seated at the back escaped unhurt.

It has been reported that the driver veered off course after dozing off.
