Kizhakkambalam murder case: CPM slams Twenty20 head Sabu Jacob, rubbishes allegations against MLA

Kochi: The CPM on Monday criticised Sabu Jacob, the chief coordinator of Twenty20 and Kitex MD, for alleging that the CPM was behind the murder of Deepu, a Twenty20 activist, in Kizhakkambalam. 

Ernakulam District Secretary CN Mohanan slammed that Sabu came on the scene when it became certain that Deepu would die. 

CPM also dismissed his allegations against MLA PV Sreenijin over Deepu's murder.

Earlier, the CPM has denied allegations raised by Twenty20 that Deepu's murder in Kunnathunadu was premeditated. Though CPM activists are booked in the case, Mohanan asked how can someone interpret that CPM was behind this murder. He also questioned the allegations that Deepu was murdered.

"Deepu was injured on February 12. Where were Sabu and the panchayat member of Twenty20 after this incident? Deepu was rushed to the hospital by his family and not by Twenty20. After his death, Twenty20 have come forward to claim his body," he added. a
