Malayali woman Mini TM takes on top leadership role at Indian Bank

Malayali banker Mini T M has taken charge as Executive Director of Indian Bank on November 24, marking a major step in her three-decade career spanning major public and private sector institutions.
Who is Mini T M?
Mini T M is a seasoned banking professional with over 30 years of experience across Federal Bank, e-Vijaya Bank and Bank of Baroda. She brings to Indian Bank a strong track record in managing large business portfolios, driving strategic expansion and strengthening governance and risk frameworks.
What roles has she handled earlier?
Before joining Indian Bank, Mini served as Chief General Manager and Cluster Head – Delhi at Bank of Baroda, where she supervised an extensive business portfolio of around ₹6 lakh crore. Her responsibilities included strategic direction in deposits, advances, customer service and regulatory compliance.
She earlier led the pan-India Retail Liabilities vertical, steering product innovation, digital upgrades and consistent growth in CASA and term deposits.
Her leadership experience includes heading major Zones such as Bengaluru and Pune, where she expanded business, upgraded asset quality, enhanced customer experience and introduced governance and digital transformation initiatives. She has also overseen PSU and corporate business in the southern region and handled senior positions in credit, SME banking, corporate credit operations and risk management.
What is her educational background?
Mini holds an MBA in Banking and Finance, is an FRM (GARP, USA), a CAIIB, and has completed leadership programmes at IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, CAFRAL and international leadership platforms.
What is her personal background?
A native of Thrissur, Mini is the daughter of the late K M Narayanan and T Madhavi. She is married to A S Rajeev, former MD of Bank of Maharashtra and the current Central Vigilance Commissioner, who hails from Arpookkara in Kottayam.
