Track maintenance: Train services to be disrupted in Kerala; check details before travel

Koyilandy: The Railways have announced changes to several train services as track maintenance work continues at various locations in the Palakkad Division. The alterations include partial cancellations, short terminations, and changes in starting stations on selected dates in January and February.

Trains partially cancelled or shortened

Alappuzha–Kannur Express (Train No. 16307)

On 7, 14, 21 and 28 January, and 4 February, the train will run only up to Kozhikode instead of Kannur. Services between Kozhikode and Kannur will be partially cancelled.

Thiruvananthapuram Central–Kannur Jan Shatabdi Express (Train No. 12082)

On the same dates (7, 14, 21, 28 January and 4 February), this train will also operate only up to Kozhikode, with services beyond Kozhikode cancelled.

Coimbatore Junction–Shoranur Junction Passenger (Train No. 56603)

On 21 January, the train will terminate at Palakkad Junction. The Palakkad–Shoranur section will remain cancelled.

Changes in starting stations

Palakkad Junction–Nilambur Road Passenger (Train No. 56607)

On 11, 18, 26 and 27 January, the train will start from Lakkidi at 6:32 am instead of Palakkad Junction. Services between Palakkad Junction and Lakkidi will be cancelled.

Palakkad Junction–Ernakulam Junction MEMU (Train No. 66609)

On 26 January, the train will start from Ottapalam at 7:57 am instead of Palakkad Junction. The Palakkad Junction–Ottapalam section will be cancelled.

Passengers are advised to check train schedules in advance and plan their journeys accordingly.
