Kerala police gets Gurkha jeeps for off-road patrolling

Kalpetta: Kerala Police received five Gurkha jeeps to patrol through the arduous paths and steep hill ranges. 

The Gurkha vehicles were granted to the stations of Padinjarathara, Kenichira, Vellamunda, Thirunelli and Thalappuzha. The Gurkha jeeps are off-road vehicles which realise journeys through difficult terrains. It is for the first time that Kerala Police is buying Force Gurkha jeeps.

District Police Chief Dr Arvind Sukumar flagged off the vehicles at an event held at the district police office. District Additional SP G Sabu also attended the function.
