CWC orders to bring Anupama's baby back from Andhra Pradesh in 5 days, conduct DNA test

Kochi: Finally, in a much awaited move, the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) has issued an order on Wednesday to bring the baby of Anupama back from Andhra Pradesh. Anupama and Ajith Kumar will visit the the CWC office on Thursday morning to receive the copy of the order.
CWC has issued the order to the Kerala State Council for Child Welfare (KSCCW) directing to bring the baby back within 5 days under strict police protection.
Once the baby is back, a DNA test will be conducted under the supervision of CWC to prove the motherhood of Anupama. The city police commissioner has been asked to ensure the safety of the baby, once back. A 'fit person', as defined in the Juvenile Justice Act, will be in charge of the baby.
Ajith Kumar and Anupama were on the way to CWC office to get the order, when mathrubhumi.com contacted them. “We have no idea about what the order is. Let us collect it,” said Ajith.
However, they won't end the protest till justice is delivered and demanded action against the officials who worked hand-in-glove with Anupama's father to hand over the baby illegally.
Anupama S Chandran, a former member of SFI and the daughter of a Peroorkada CPM local committee member Jayachandran, had come up with the allegations against her family members a few weeks back.
Anupama had fallen in love with Ajith who is former area president of DYFI. Ajith was already married. Anupama's parents were not happy over this alliance. Anupama and Ajith could not start living together as he was not legally divorced at that time.
Meanwhile, Anupama gave birth to a baby on October 19 last year. According to Anupama’s complaint, the child was taken away from her by her father and relatives three days after delivery. They had promised that the baby will be brought back once Anupama’s sister is married off. However, they did not bring the child back even after her sister’s wedding.
In the meantime, Ajith got legal divorce from Nasiya. Following this Anupama and Ajith started living together and they demanded their baby back. The failure of Anupama's father in giving her baby back forced them to take legal action against them. The Vachiyur Family Court quashed the adoption procedures in the meantime and asked a report on the investigation conducted. CWC issued the order just a day ahead of the hearing to be held on Saturday at Vanchiyur Family Court.
