Kerala LSG Election 2025: Revised schedule of Christmas exams out

Thiruvananthapuram: The timetable for this academic year’s half-yearly examinations (Christmas exams) has been released. Exams for all categories, except LP, will begin on December 15, while LP exams are scheduled to start on December 17. Examinations for Classes 1 to 10 will conclude on December 23, after which schools will close for the Christmas vacation.

Higher secondary exams will be held in two phases. The first phase will run from December 15 to 23, including exams on Saturdays. Following the Christmas break, one exam each for Plus One and Plus Two students is scheduled for January 6. Schools are set to reopen on January 5.

The revised dates follow an earlier announcement that Christmas exam schedules in Kerala state syllabus schools would be adjusted in view of the local body elections.

According to the 2025–2026 academic calendar, second-quarter annual exams were initially planned to begin on December 11. However, the dates were shifted to accommodate the elections, which will be held on December 9 and 11, with vote counting scheduled for December 13.
