Kerala lottery update: ₹25 Cr Thiruvonam Bumper draw and ₹12 Cr Pooja Bumper launch tomorrow

Thiruvananthapuram: The much-awaited Thiruvonam Bumper lottery draw, which was postponed earlier, will now be held tomorrow (October 4), alongside the official launch of the Pooja Bumper lottery ticket, the Kerala State Lotteries Department has announced.
The draw and the launch event will be held at Gorky Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram at 1 pm. State Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal will officially launch the Pooja Bumper ticket and oversee the Thiruvonam Bumper draw during a special ceremony.
Why was the Thiruvonam Bumper draw postponed?
Originally scheduled for September 27, the draw was postponed due to unexpected heavy rains and logistical challenges related to GST adjustments. Lottery agents and vendors had also requested an extension, prompting the department to reschedule it to October 4.
Thiruvonam Bumper: Record ticket sales
This year, 75 lakh Thiruvonam Bumper tickets were printed and sold. Palakkad district recorded the highest sales, selling 14,07,100 tickets, followed by Thrissur (9,37,400) and Thiruvananthapuram (8,75,900).
- First Prize: ₹25 crore (1 winner)
- Second Prize: ₹1 crore each for 20 winners
- Third Prize: ₹50 lakh each for 20 winners
- Fourth Prize: ₹5 lakh each for 10 series
- Fifth Prize: ₹2 lakh each for 10 series
- Additional prizes ranging from ₹5000 to ₹500 are also included.
Pooja Bumper priced at ₹300 per ticket
Alongside the draw, the Kerala government will also begin sales of the Pooja Bumper, priced at ₹300 per ticket. The ticket will have five series, and the first prize winner will take home ₹12 crore.
- Second Prize: ₹1 crore for each series
- Third Prize: ₹5 lakh each for 10 winners (2 per series)
- Fourth Prize: ₹3 lakh each for 5 series
- Fifth Prize: ₹2 lakh each for 5 series
- Additional prizes: ₹5,000, ₹1,000, ₹500, and ₹300
