Thiruvananthapuram: The crime branch has issued a notice to Arjun Radhakrishnan, the son of Congress leader Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, in connection with the bar bribery row.

The crime branch has found Arjun to be the administrator of the WhatsApp group in which the controversial audio clips of the bar owners were circulated. After recording statements and examining the WhatsApp chats of various bar owners, the crime branch has directed him to appear at the office in Jawahar Nagar on Friday.

The notice was issued through email, as he did not accept it when the crime branch officers tried to hand it over to him at his residence in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday.

Although he is currently not the group administrator, he is still a member. His father-in-law owns a bar. Through this, he became a member and admin of the WhatsApp group.

Arjun had refused to receive the notice, claiming that no bars were operating under his name. However, the notice was served to him because Arjun was still a member of that WhatsApp group.

The crime branch has been probing the conspiracy in the audio clip leaks.
