Kerala eases business approvals: KSWIFT to provide interim building numbers valid for 3.5 years

Thiruvananthapuram: New entrepreneurs registered through the Kerala Government's Online Single Window Clearance Mechanism (KSWIFT) will be given a temporary building number. This will enable them to avail bank loans and other essential services without any delay. For entrepreneurs to avail of bank loans and other essential services, buildings need an official identification number.

KSWIFT is an online single-window clearance system for starting and expanding businesses. Clearances are also made easy by eliminating procedural delays. The aim is to obtain certificates more quickly and streamline business operations.

Businesses registered through the https://kswift.kerala.gov.in/index/ platform will get the number.

Enterprises with investments up to Rs 50 crore will be given a number valid for three and a half years. During this period, enterprises should obtain a permanent building number. The number in the acknowledgement certificate received when applying through KSWIFT can be considered a temporary building number.
