Kerala HC puts stay on misleading ad cases against Baba Ramdev and Patanjali MD

The Kerala High Court has stayed further proceedings in seven criminal cases filed against yoga guru Ramdev, Patanjali managing director Acharya Balkrishna, and Divya Pharmacy. The complaints, registered under the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, allege the dissemination of misleading medical advertisements.

Justice VG Arun issued a fresh interim stay while considering seven criminal miscellaneous petitions filed by the accused. The Court observed that the issues raised merited detailed judicial examination.

Public Prosecutor asked to seek instructions

Taking note of the complexities involved, the Court has directed the Public Prosecutor to obtain necessary instructions before further steps are taken in the matter.
