Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan has tendered his resignation as the patron of the Kerala State Council for Child Welfare. In a statement released by Raj Bhavan to the Kerala Government, the Governor cited concerns related to corruption and mismanagement within the Council as the reason for stepping down from this role.

Raj Bhavan received numerous complaints alleging corruption and mismanagement within the Child Welfare Council. Subsequent investigations revealed that these complaints were true. Despite repeated requests from Raj Bhavan, the state government failed to take any action, resulting in the governor's move to step down as patron of the council.

A few days back, Raj Bhavan issued a letter informing the Governor's decision to step down from council.  However, the state government made no effort to reply to the letter.
