Major reshuffle at the top of police in Kerala; Sparjan Kumar Intelligence IG

Thiruvananthapuram: In a major reshuffle at the top of the police, the government has issued orders for promotions to IG , DIG posts and transfers of officers. Thiruvananthapuram Commissioner Sparjan Kumar has been appointed as the Intelligence IG. He will also take charge as the Internal Security IG.

K. Sethuraman IPS, who was the North Zone IG, has been appointed as the Director of the Police Academy. Rajpal Meena will take over as the North Zone IG. J. Jayanath  has been appointed as the Human Rights Commission IG, while Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar has been assigned the role of Traffic and Road Safety Management IG.

S. Satheesh Bino is the new DIG of the Ernakulam Range. Thomson Jose IPS, who was the DIG of the Thrissur Range, has been appointed as the Thiruvananthapuram City Police Commissioner.

Yatheesh Chandra has been promoted as the Kannur Range DIG  and Harishankar as the Thrissur Range DIG. K. Karthik  has been promoted to Vigilance DIG. He will also take charge as the Vigilance Headquarters IG.  Narayanan T. has been promoted as DIG and appointed as the Kozhikode City Police Commissioner. These orders will come into effect on January 1.
