Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has declared a two-day public holiday in connection with Eid al-Adha. The holidays will be observed on May 27 and 28.

All government offices, public sector institutions, educational institutions, and establishments covered under the Negotiable Instruments Act will remain closed on both days. Earlier, a holiday had been declared only for May 27. However, as Bakrid will be celebrated in Kerala on May 28 based on the moon sighting, the government has now announced a two-day holiday.
