Kerala couple known for family counselling lands in domestic violence row: Wife alleges physical assault; husband on the run

Thrissur: A social media-famous couple who used to conduct family counselling and motivational classes have landed in controversy after a domestic altercation ended with assault allegations by the wife against the husband.

The altercation occurred between Mario Joseph (47) and his wife Gigi Mario Joseph at their home in Divine Sneha Nagar, Muringoor. Following the argument, Gigi approached Chalakudy Police, alleging that her husband had assaulted her. A case has since been registered against Mario Joseph, who is currently absconding.

As per the police reports, the couple had been living separately for the past nine months due to work-related disagreements. On the evening of October 25, Gigi visited her husband’s house to resolve their issues, but during the discussion, she alleged that he physically assaulted her.

According to the complaint, Mario Joseph allegedly hit her on the head with a set-top box, bit her hand and pulled her hair. Gigi officially filed the complaint on November 1, and the police investigation is continuing into the matter.
