Kerala Cabinet list out: V D Satheesan unveils 21-member team after Governor meet

Thiruvananthapuram: Ending days of intense political consultations and coalition deliberations, Chief Minister-designate V D Satheesan officially submitted the complete list of the incoming United Democratic Front (UDF) Council of Ministers to Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on Sunday evening. The new state administration will feature a robust 21-member Cabinet, including the Chief Minister.
Speaking to media personnel immediately after his high-profile meeting at the Raj Bhavan, Satheesan announced the full line-up of incoming ministers, though specific portfolio allocations were not officially declared.
Making a major historical assertion, Satheesan noted that this marks the first time in 60 years that a complete Cabinet will be swearing-in together on Monday morning. He claimed it is the fastest Cabinet to be formed in the state's recent political history. The Chief Minister-designate emphasised that the selection process was highly meticulous, with ministers being chosen based on a careful balance of both geographical and political factors to ensure equitable representation across Kerala.

The mega swearing-in ceremony of the new UDF administration is scheduled to take place on Monday at 10.00 am at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, marking a new chapter of governance following the front's landslide victory in the state assembly polls.
