Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala cabinet on Tuesday granted approval to construct a second IT building in the Kozhikode Cyber Park at a cost of Rs 184 crore. A fund of Rs 100 crore will be sanctioned from the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) for the purpose.

The cabinet also decided to appoint the Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Limited (KSITIL) as a special purpose company for the implementation of the project.

Further, Kerala government granted Rs 10 lakh as financial aid from the Chief Ministers' Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) to the family of a differently-abled boy who was attacked and killed by a pack of stray dogs in Kannur district earlier this month.

Nihal, hailing from Kettinakam, was found grievously injured around 300 metres away from his house on June 11 and died at a hospital later.
