Kerala being ruled by NDA-LDF govt, CPM mum on ousting JD(S): VD Satheesan

Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader V.D. Satheesan said that the state is now ruled by NDA-LDF coalition government due to CPM's failure to oust JD(S) from the Front.
His remark came against the backdrop of JD(S) joining the BJP-led NDA alliance in Karnataka even though the party's Kerala unit remains a part of the CPM-led Left Democratic Front (LDF), a staunch critic of BJP and RSS.
Criticising CPM for continuing to support the HD Deve Gowda-led party, Satheesan stated that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and LDF are not sure on how to cope with the political crisis.
"CPM leadership and the Chief Minister should explain why JD(S), which has allied with NDA, remains a part of LDF in Kerala," he said.
"If LDF truly believes in anti-Sangh Parivar ideologies, it should depose JD(S). Until the JD(S) is ousted from the LDF, should the CPM leader speak out against the Sangh Parivar. What needs to be seen is whether Kerala's Chief Minister and CPM leadership have the resolve to do so," he said.
