Kerala Agricultural University official collapses during live TV programme, dies

Thiruvananthapuram: A Kerala Agricultural University official collapsed and died during a live TV programme at Doordarshan Kendra here on Friday evening. 

The deceased is Dr Ani S Das, former director, Planning, at the Kerala Agricultural University. The incident happened around 6:10 pm when he was attending Doordarshan's Krishi Darshan programme here. 

An expert in the field, Das previously held various roles as Managing Director at Kerala Feeds, KLD Board, Kerala Poultry Development Corporation and Kerala Meat Products.

According to the Kerala Agricultural University website, he had been working as a Professor & Head, at the Communication Centre, Mannuthy. He is residing in Ernakulam.
