ozhikode: BJP state general secretary MT Ramesh has confirmed that there was a secret pact between CPM and BJP 15 years ago. He also revealed that Pinarayi Vijayan was the chief agent of KG Marar in Udma.

Co-Le-B (Congress-League-BJP) nexus is not a new thing. Everyone is aware of it, said Ramesh while addressing media here on Thursday.

“Co-Le-B nexus was not a secret thing in Kerala. A common candidate was fielded from Vadakara and Beypore as a part of this nexus. It is a failed nexus. In Kerala, BJP is contesting against Congress and CPM. But people who have no topic to discuss are highlighting about a political alliance which existed decades ago,” condemned Ramesh.

The BJP leader demanded the state CPM committee to declare whether they follow the stance taken by the national committee over the Sabarimala issue.

“Sitaram Yechury declared that he is not ready to change his stance on the Sabarimala issue. Chief Minister’s silence over this is something mysterious. It is learned that BJP didn’t consider Balashankar’s name as a candidate for the Chengannur seat. Now, BJP is fielding a candidate who knows the pulse of Chengannur,” he added.

Meanwhile, the BJP leader raised a sharp criticism against Chief Minister over the gold smuggling case.

“The programme at Koduvally confirmed that CM still favours the gold smuggling racket. The venue of the programme in Kozhikode was shifted to Koduvally as part of the deal with the LDF candidate in Kouvally," said MT Ramesh.
