Degree student turns professional photographer amid lockdown

Kochi: Kavya Suresh, a second-year B.Com student, turned a professional photographer by utilizing the time during the lockdown. Interestingly, she has learned the basics of photography by herself during the free time after online classes.

The passion towards the creative job motivated her to establish her own brand named Affinity Photography after learning basics of photo editing,

The girl who is a native of Chakkaraparambu explored her skills in photography as a creative way of survival during the pandemic outbreak.

Kavya is the daughter of CK Suresh, an autorickshaw driver and Vineetha, an employee at a private Homeo clinic.

She is studying second-year B.Com at Manakkadavu Cochin Arts and Science College.

“I started to learn photography with my brother’s camera during the lockdown. At first, I took photos of the children at my house. Later, I found time to turn professional through functions like birthday celebrations, Mehandi functions etc,” said Kavya.

“I have learnt the technical side of photography and angles by myself. I have also done save the date and maternity photoshoots also. For this purpose, I have started to learn photo editing seriously,” she explained. Kavya wants to create her own brand with unique photoshoots.

The ambitious girl has decided to focus on photography and study it in detail to become a popular photographer.
