Karnataka RTC to roll out sleeper bus service between Bengaluru and Kozhikode, starting Dec 6

Kozhikode: Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is set to launch a non-AC sleeper bus service between Bengaluru and Kozhikode, starting December 6. The service, which will operate via Mananthavady, is the first of its kind initiated by the Karnataka Transport Corporation. The ticket price is set at ₹950, with higher rates on weekends. Online ticket booking is already available.
The service will depart daily from the Shantinagar Bus Stand in Bengaluru at 8:45 p.m. and is expected to arrive at the Kozhikode Bus Stand the next morning at 5:45 a.m. The bus will also stop at key locations such as Mysuru Road Sattellite Stand (9:15 p.m.), Rajarajeshwari Nagar (9:20 p.m.), and Kengeri TTMC (9:30 p.m.). On the way, the bus will reach Mananthavady at 3:15 a.m. and Kalpetta at 4 a.m.
In the return journey, the bus will leave Kozhikode at 9:15 p.m. and arrive in Bengaluru at 5:25 a.m. the following morning. The service is expected to be popular during the Christmas holiday season, with special services having already been announced by Karnataka RTC, which has also launched services to various other locations in Kerala.
Karnataka RTC is also preparing to launch non-AC sleeper bus services to Kottayam and other destinations, with Pallakki buses being used for these services.
