KK Ragesh is CPM’s new Kannur district secretary

Kannur: K K Ragesh has been elected as the new CPM Kannur district secretary. Ragesh, a former Rajya Sabha MP, had been serving as the private secretary to the Chief Minister.

A new appointment was necessitated after the current Kannur district secretary, M V Jayarajan, was inducted into the CPM state secretariat. The decision to elect Ragesh as the new district secretary was taken at the CPM district committee meeting held on Tuesday, which was attended by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and other senior leaders.

Ragesh is currently also a member of the CPM state committee.
