Revenue Minister not to share stage with Kannur Collector; events postponed

Kannur: Apparently, Revenue Minister K Rajan has not yet resolved his dissatisfaction with the Kannur Collector in connection with the death of ADM Naveen Babu. Reports suggest that the Minister has informed that he will not share the stage with Collector Arun K Vijayan. Three events of the Revenue Department scheduled to take place in Kannur on Thursday have been postponed.
The land festival in Iritty and Koothuparamba, as well as the inauguration of the Chirakkal Smart Village Office, have all been postponed. However, the Minister will attend the digitisation announcement at Munderi School, where the Collector will not be present.
Earlier, Minister K Rajan had remarked that Naveen Babu was an excellent officer and that no complaints had been received about him. He had also stated that if any complaints were made against the Collector, they would be investigated. Now, the Revenue Minister's decision to stay away from an event that the Collector will also attend has raised speculation.
Meanwhile, the Minister's office has denied such reports.
