ADM Naveen Babu’s death: Chargesheet names PP Divya as sole accused; her speech led to suicide

Kannur: In the sensational ADM Naveen Babu death case, the police chargesheet stated that the words of CPM leader and former Kannur District Panchayat president P P Divya prompted him to commit suicide. As per the chargesheet, the investigation has also confirmed that Divya is the sole accused in the case.

The chargesheet in Naveen Babu’s abetment to suicide case will be submitted at the Kannur Judicial First Class Magistrate Court on Saturday.

The special investigation team is filing the chargesheet five months after Naveen Babu’s death. Consisting of over 100 pages, the document also states that no direct evidence was found to prove that Naveen Babu accepted bribes. A previous inquiry by the Revenue Department had also found no evidence of corruption.

Meanwhile, the police chargesheet mentions that Naveen Babu had contacted Prasanth over the phone. The allegation against Naveen Babu was that Prasanth had bribed him.
