Kalamandalam Balasubramanian wins Guru Chemancheri award

Koyilandy: Kathakali artist Kalamandalam Balasubramanian became the first recipient of Guru Chemancheri Kunhiraman Nair award constituted by Cheliya Kathakali Vidyalayam. The name of the winner was announced by MLA Kanathil Jameela during the birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Chemancheri held at the institution. The award will be presented to Kalamandalam Balasubramanian on August first week at an event in Koyilandy.

A certificate, cash award and an award statue designed by artist Madanan will be presented to the winner. Jury comprising Dr A R Raghava Varrier, Kottakal Keshavan Kundalayar, and Madan K Menon declared the award.
