K-Swift to provide more services

Kochi: K-Swift (Single Window Interface for Fast and Transparent Clearance) an online single-window clearance system for starting industries in Kerala, will now provide more services. Entrepreneurs can apply for permissions from the food safety authority, drug control department, health department and more services from local self-governments and the pollution control board from now onwards. A mobile application of K-Swift will be set up to provide 90 services from 21 departments and agencies.

Eighty-five projects worth Rs 31,023 crores have been granted permission through this system by single-window clearance system.

Initiatives of women and startups will be provided legal permissions and financial support and prioritised in K-Swift. The state industrial development corporation (KSIDC) will initiate a promotional campaign named 'Vyavasayam Viralthumbil'. Applications should be made through the portal in kswift.kerala.gov.in, and for loans, ksidc.org.

M.G Rajamanickam, KSIDC managing director, stated that entrepreneurs who want to start units in private industrial parks would get financial support in the form of leases. Enterprises working in the industrial parks of KSIDC or KINFRA are currently providing leases. The government's decision to provide permission for individuals with limited land to start private industrial parks led to this new decision.
